DANKEN is a return to ancient rug-making techniques to produce completely natural and original high-quality rugs. Our rugs are made exclusively of natural felt--the oldest form of fabric. It starts as nothing more than pure wool sourced from organic, predator-friendly ranches. The rugs are entirely handmade, including all stages of fabrication: layering, wetting, and agitation. Although the process is time-consuming, it ensures the production of a carefully constructed, one-of-a-kind piece.
